The Stupa was distinguished with 2 important prices on the 3rd edition of prices in the province of Malaga by the
Financiera y Minera Arquitectura Construccion de Malaga.
In the category of the most unique works done in Malaga the technical team led by architect Wojtek Kossowski was selected with the project of the Stupa for the 1st price.
In the category of economical development and social unique activities the 1st price from Malaga province was also granted to the Stupa.

Visit by H.H. Kunzig Shamar Rinpoche who during during his stay inaugurated together with the city mayor
Enrique Bolín Pérez-Argemí the first exhibition at the Stupa called "Buddhist Himalayas".
The exhibition was open to the public for 8 months and thousands of visitors had the unique opportunity to get acquainted with the culture, traditions and religion from the countries of the "roof of the world".

Final consecration ceremonies of the Stupa directed by H.H. Kunzig Shamar Rinpoche.
More than 3.500 visitors from 38 countries attended the ceremony in Benalmadena including among others members of the Diamond Way Buddhism Organizations from Australia, Austria, Germany, Israel, Poland, Russia, the United Kingdom and the United States.

20 Lamas from Lopon Tsechus Rinpoche Monastery in Kathmandu, Buddha Dharma Center performed Lama dances which express the meditative states of mind.
